NBA Faux Championship Ring

Created as part of a 3+ minute edited tease promoting the NBA Finals re-airing on NBA Tv. At the time of air the Finals match-up was set but not yet played. Official rings were not designed, so to illustrate a head to head match using rings, faux CG rings were designed for both Golden State and Boston. Golden State would go on to win the title.

Type elements were designed in Illustrator, brought into Maya and extruded, then re-topo’d and deformed to give them a softer hand-crafted appearance. Rendered in Arnold.
